The Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network is a cognitive health and mental wellness network providing transformative care to veterans and first responders experiencing post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injuries, and substance abuse.
the need for transformative veteran & first responder care
The Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network addresses the epidemic of invisible wounds that afflict our nation’s veterans and first responders. Traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress afflict nearly 1 out of every 3 military personnel deployed to war zones since 2001. An estimated 30% of our nation’s first responders are also dealing with depression and post-traumatic stress.

The Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network builds upon the Foundation’s long history of supporting the mental wellness needs of our nation’s heroes and their families. Over the next several years, the Foundation will establish additional treatment and training sites nationwide for veterans and first responders experiencing traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress, and substance abuse. Utilizing proven treatment, training, and rehabilitation methods from Boulder Crest Foundation and the Marcus Institute for Brain Health, the Gary Sinise Foundation Avalon Network is envisioned as a leading cognitive health and mental wellness provider for our veterans, first responders, and their families.
